Nashville MGMA Monthly Meeting

Join us for our September monthly meeting at Saint Thomas West Hospital on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

Our speaker for this event is Yvette Doran, who is the President & CEO of Ascension Medical Group - TN and Board Chairman for MGMA. 

A healthcare executive, with more than 20 years of experience, Yvette currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer for Ascension Medical Group - Tennessee’s, Saint Thomas Medical Partners, a multi-specialty physician group of nearly 600 physicians/practitioners, in over 100 locations. Saint Thomas Health is the leading faith-based health care system in Tennessee and is a part of Ascension, the largest non-profit health system in the U.S. and the world's largest Catholic health system. She was named as the first female President & CEO for the Tennessee physician enterprise, after first serving as its Chief Operating Officer for two and one-half years. With a career beginning in private practice, she has years of experience in independent groups, hospital-owned organizations, national corporations, both for-profit and non-profit, plus faith-based/Catholic healthcare. Yvette will share that it is in her current role that her various years of experience have reached a place where they can be coupled with a true joy of service and servant leadership, to maximize professional contributions and provide greater satisfaction.  Finding Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) early in her career, Yvette claims joining MGMA as the single best decision in her healthcare career. She has served as a volunteer leader at various levels of the organization over the years, including Past-President of Tennessee MGMA, a former Southern Section Chair, and now completing her fourth year on the national MGMA board, she is the presiding MGMA-ACMPE Board Chair for the national association. Yvette’s undergraduate degrees include Business Administration, Management and Fashion Merchandising, with a Master’s Degree in Business and Healthcare Administration. She serves on the Advisory Board with the Habitat for Humanity, Greater Nashville organization, is a contributing/published author and offers editorial reviews for the professional publication, Management in Healthcare. To rejuvenate, Yvette enjoys any type of home improvement projects, gardening, painting, hiking, biking, scuba diving, and spending precious time with family and friends.

Directions to the Conference Rooms at Saint Thomas West Hospital: Enter the hospital campus by the main entrance at 4220 Harding Pike and bear left at the fork. Follow the drive to Seton Garage which has free visitor parking. Take the garage elevator to the D level and enter the hospital via the sky walk; this is the first floor. Walk a short distance. Turn right into the hallway marked "Conference Rooms."
