Valora serves clients in all medical specialties and provides services related to operations, workflow optimization, compliance, IT, accounting, marketing, and strategic planning. Along with a team of CPAs, JDs and MBAs within Doctors Management, she also advises physicians and hospitals on practice valuation, new practice startup, practice finance, credentialing, staffing and ancillary service development.
Clients appreciate that she delivers measurable results. Her financial expertise along with extensive experience in medical practice management is the cornerstone of her success. Valora works with practice executive leadership to develop and implement strategies to drive revenues, improve operational efficiency, and improve patient satisfaction and retention.
In addition to working with clients, Valora assists in the curriculum development and implementation of two online management education and credentialing platforms: one---a 23-session curriculum and exam sponsored by Doctors Management called DM University (DMU). The second platform is sponsored by the National Society of Healthcare Business Consultant’s online certification program and is called the CHBC. Both platforms have trained and credentialed hundreds of managers and consultants throughout the country on the “business of medicine”.
Prior to joining Doctors Management in 2008, Valora brought significant finance and healthcare management experience. Valora’s past professional experiences include: Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for a health system foundation, COO of an orthopedic surgical group, and Senior Vice President with a global investment advisory firm.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Valora is a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant through the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants (NSCHBC).
